The American Idol reboot is struggling to make it through to Hollywood.

While Katy Perry has signed on to the cool tune of $25 million, the iconic singing competition has been unable to lock in a second, third and potential fourth judge, TMZ reports.

"Our 'Idol' sources tell us ... none of the previous front-runners -- Lionel Richie, Charlie Puth, Luke Bryan or Keith Urban -- are any closer to signing than they were a few weeks ago. We're told record producer Nile Rodgers has now been tossed in the mix," the tabloid claims, adding that Richie in particular has asked for double the $5 million producers are willing to pay.

Auditions reportedly kick off today (August 17) in Orlando. Luckily, filmed auditions in front of the judges won't start until late September, giving American Idol execs a few weeks to lock down an all-star panel.
