19-year-old Fredzania Thompson was killed after being struck by a train during her first photoshoot just days before her birthday.

Fredzania was participating in her first photoshoot at a train-yard in Navasota, TX, posing for pictures while standing on the tracks. Witnesses reported that Fredzania and the photographer were between tracks belonging to BNSF and Union Pacific when trains approached from both directions. Fredzania was reportedly trying to avoid the BNSF train when she was struck by the one from Union Pacific. She died from her injuries on the way to the hospital.

Fredzania's mother Hakamie Stevenson told The Eagle that her daughter had wanted to be a model for a long time, and a recent modeling opportunity led to Fredzania putting her education on hold,

She was more interested in modeling. That's definitely what she wanted to do. It's what she had started to do the day she was (killed).

Fredzania's family and fiance decided the best way to honor her memory would be to release a photo taken just before the accident, showing Fredzania doing what she has always wanted to do. Her fiance, Darnell Chatman, said that she has called him just two weeks ago to tell him she was pregnant.
