Burn Bans Will Dampen 4th Of July Celebrations This Year
It’s dry. Very, very dry. Texas is in the grips of one of the worst drouhgts in the last 50 years and this has prompted over 125 Texas Counties to enact burn bans to include the use of fireworks this year. In our area, here is where some of our counties stand:
Archer–use of fireworks is banned
Clay–use of fireworks is banned
Montague–use of fireworks is banned

Wildfire Breaks Out In Archer County
Around 200 acres burned in Archer County today near FM 1954 and Fuller Road. The fire broke out at around 1:30 pm. Officials say the fire did not pose an immediate danger to homes, but several were being monitored. Crews continue to watch the area in case the flames should rekindle
