Best Halloween Pumpkin Patches in Wichita Falls 
Halloween is right around the corner and the annual tradition is to carve those beautiful pumpkins. Here is a list of our favorite pumpkin patches in the Wichita Falls area.
Wuthrich Pony Rides
Formerly known as Painted Pony Rides, Wuthrich Pony Rides is located at 4376 Airport Dr in Wichita Falls. Their pumpkin patch opens October 1 and they will be doing field trips Monday thru Friday 9:30am – 11:30am. You must call for a reservation. Saturdays they are open 10am-3pm, no reservation needed. It’s $5 per child and they have lots of pumpkins for sale, pony rides, bounce house, hay rides, and a petting zoo. There is also pumpkin painting and face painting available, and a picnic area for lunches. Check out the Wuthrich Pony Rides Facebook page for updates. Smith’s Gardentown Farms
Smith’s Gardentown always has a huge selection of pumpkins every year. They are located at 4940 Seymour Hwy and are open M-F 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Saturdays 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Sundays Noon – 4:00 PM. This year they’ve added a haystack castle and two free bounce houses for the kids. A pumpkin ride for the kiddos is also available. Rides are $1 per child and will be given Wednesday – Friday 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays 10 AM to 2:00 PM. Visit the Smith’s Gardentown Farms website.
University United Methodist Church
Right across from Midwestern State University is University United Methodist Church. They usually have hay rides for the kids and always a good selection of pumpkins. Their pumpkin patch is open Weekdays 2-7, Saturdays 9-7, Sundays 1-7. Check out the University United Methodist Church website for updates.
United Market Street
Market Street would love for all of you to come by and check out their fancy display of pumpkins of all kinds. Located at 4590 Kell Blvd, you’re sure to find just the right pumpkin for your fall decor and Halloween jack-o-lantern carving.
Archer City First Methodist Church Pumpkin Palooza
The First Methodist Church of Archer City invites your family to pumpkin palooza September 25-28 in the vacant lot south of the church (Lot 242). There will be pumpkin pickin’, s’mores, crafts, bounce house, and more. Hours are noon to dark on Sept. 25 and 4:30pm to dark the 26-28
BONUS: Free Pumpkins at Wal-Mart
Now if you just can’t bring yourself to spend the money on a pumpkin, and have young kids that don’t even know what day Halloween is, you can go to Wal-Mart the day after Halloween. They will have pumpkins outside for you to take home for FREE. This way you can still celebrate carving a pumpkin with your kids at no price
