I, Bethany Lee, am going to jail! But it’s all for a good cause. The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is having their annual Lock-Up event on August 28 in Wichita Falls, and you can help! MDA combats muscular dystrophy and diseases of the nervous system and muscular system, and it’s an honor to be involved with such an awesome organization.

Prior to being locked up I can raise my bail money, which means I may not need to be handcuffed and dragged off after all. Your donation to MDA helps to pay for worldwide research, multidisciplinary medical clinics, MDA summer camps, support groups, flu shots, support, and hope.

If you want to get really specific, your contribution helps in these ways:

$30 – One flu shot

$65 – One minute of research

$100 – One support group session

$150 – One physical, occupational, or respiratory therapy consultation

$300 – Professional fees related to initial diagnostic work-up at an MDA clinic

$500 – Assists on annual repairs of durable medical equipment

$800 – Sends one child to MDA summer camp

These are just a few of the ways that contributions help fuel MDA, but any amount is greatly appreciated! You can make an online donation on my Lock-Up site. Let’s work together to help children and adults with muscular dystrophy in our community!
