First a recall, then a delay in shipping, but Blue Bell fanatics in North Texas should only have to wait another month to get their fix.

According to an official announcement from the company, deliveries to the DFW area, Waco, and southern parts of Oklahoma will resume on November 2nd.  In a statement, VP of Sales and Marketing Ricky Dickson said,

We have experienced tremendous consumer response and support since our return to stores on Aug. 31.  This support, coupled with our current production capacity, has slowed our ability to enter additional distribution areas. We are working as hard as we can to keep stores in phase one stocked without jeopardizing the new quality and safety procedures we have implemented to ensure our products are safe and of the highest quality.

After halting production in April due to a listeria contamination, Blue Bell resumed production in August, but had to delay their north Texas return due to high demand.  Upon return to North Texas shelves, Blue Bell's selection will consist of Buttered Pecan, Cookies 'n Cream, Dutch Chocolate, Homemade Vanilla, and The Great Divide flavors in both pint and half gallon sizes.
