According to Variety, Bradley Cooper recently flew to Spain to meet with director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo ("28 Weeks Later") about starring in the remake of "The Crow".  If cast in the role, production could start as early as this Fall.

The original "Crow" film, about a dead rock star ressurrected to avenge the death of himself and his fiance, spawned 3 sequels and a short-lived syndicated television series.  Though it has a large cult following, it is primarily known for being Brandon Lee's final film.  A series of mistakes with blanks and prop guns lead to Lee being shot and killed on set during the filming of an action sequence.  As of now, IMDB.com lists the remake as a 2013 release.

Bradley Cooper is a good actor, but he wouldn't be my first choice for this role.  I like Bradley Cooper, but he has a lot more experience with romantic and comedic roles.  I hope he will do well with a dark role such as this, but it is too early to tell.  I would have liked to see Christian Bale take this role.  Who do you think would have been a good choice?
