Remember Bret Michaels' HILARIOUS accident at the Tony Awards a few years ago? No? Well, let's go to the video tape!

OUCH!

Well, Bret Michaels is claiming that incident as the reason for his brain hemorage last year. Michaels claims he was never warned about the change in scenery that resulted in his accident. His lawsuit states,

"Through his sheer will to live, to see his children grow up, Michaels was able to survive this trauma."

Michaels is also unhappy that CBS chose to air the accident which quickly became an internet sensation with more than 27 million views. In a statement, Michaels' attorney Alex Weingarten wrote,

"The Tony Awards dropped a piece of the stage on Bret's head, and then instead of doing the right thing, joked about it and played it off for ratings," Also, "They must be held accountable for almost killing Bret, and that is what we are going to do."

No word yet on what damages Michaels is seeking in the lawsuit, but the suit claims the injury prevented him from performing at later shows. CBS has declined comment and has a policy about not commenting on cases outside of court.
