Tony’s Review of “Iron Man 3″

Another film trilogy has come to an end, but this trilogy has done what few before have been able to accomplish, save the best movie for last.

Taking place after the events of “The Avengers”, “Iron Man 3” opens with a flashback to New Year’s Eve 1999 where a very drunk and cocky Tony Stark is speaking at a symposium in Sweden, laying his moves on thick to scientist Maya Hansen, and blowing off disabled scientist Aldrich Killian who is promoting his think-tank, Advanced Idea Mechanics

Tony’s Review of “Evil Dead”

Another remake?  Yes, Hollywood has been out of original ideas for quite some time.  However, “Evil Dead” takes the idea of a remake and does it the way it should, taking as little of the source material as necessary, and coming up with a new twist to make the new film a unique experience for the audience, both those new to the story and fans of the original

The original “Die Hard” was a surprise action film that helped redefine the genre.  In an age of muscular superheroes like Stallone and Schwarzenegger, an average looking television actor became the next major action star

Critic Rex Reed Slams Melissa McCarthy’s Movie and Weight

According to Wikipedia, Film criticism is "the analysis and evaluation of films, individually and collectively. In general, this can be divided into journalistic criticism that appears regularly in newspapers, and other popular, mass-media outlets and academic criticism by film scholars that is informed by film theory and published in journals."  But one critic seems to believe that includes attacking the film's

Tony’s Review of “Warm Bodies”

A film by Summit Entertainment (the company that brought us “The Twilight Saga”), based on a book, starring a girl that looks like Kristen Stewart in a blonde wig, and it’s about a girl who falls in love with a dead guy?  This sounds familiar

Carly Rae Jepsen, ‘Kiss’ – Album Review

Carly Rae Jepsen isn't a one tricky pony. She's a two-to-three trick pony, if her debut U.S. album, 'Kiss,' is indication, and if she strays too far from what she knows, it doesn't end that well. But when her regular two or three tricks are so good, you don't mind hearing them over and over again... at least not at first.

Carly Rae Jepsen, ‘This Kiss’ – Song Review

'Call Me Maybe' was the biggest song of the summer of 2012, and singer Carly Rae Jepsen isn't backing down on the frothy, saccharine pop anthems while the weather changes and gets cooler. The song 'This Kiss' from her new album 'Kiss,' out Sept. 18, has been unveiled online, and it's as sweet and as cavity-causing as 'Call Me Maybe.'

Justin Bieber, ‘Believe’ – Album Review

In an attempt to bridge the gap between adolescence and adulthood, Justin Bieber drops ‘Believe,’ his third studio effort and most mature record yet.

Now that he’s older, relatively speaking, his album listening party (held at Island Def Jam quarters earlier this week) lacked any sort of party streamers or festive flair. Rather, the focus — aside from the black and white promo shot of him as a modern James Dean, throwing swag at the camera — is his new music: A mix of synth heavy dance and melodic downtempo R&B tracks sprinkled with ballads and neo Doo-wop jams.
