Last night was the big, fat debut of Hairspray in Texoma and man, was it AMAZING!! At least I hope it was for the audience (I heard something about TWO standing ovations : ) I wasn't nervous until we had a quickie cast meeting where our lovely director, Lynn Marshall told us that we'd set a new opening night record! Over 300 in the audience! Which is amazing considering the balcony was closed in honor of the message of Hairspray.

It's amazing to me that you can get an insurance policy for just about anything these days. For instance, I am buying a new house in the Falls, and one of the insurance options I was offered was insurance for Kerby, my dog. Now, I love Kerby, but sometimes we have to hold a mirror under his nose to make sure he's still alive.

Backdoor Theatre's Best Show EVER!!

Last night I got a sneak, sneak preview of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Backdoor Theatre and man, oh man, was it GREAT!!

First of all, I love interactive theatre! As a too-busy-to-do-a-show-right-now thespian, I LOVE being on stage and I was able to fill the missing acting gap in my heart tonight as I participated in my very first spelling bee!
