When we look back at the year 2016, there will be a few key moments that will always be remembered. One moment that touched all of us was the unfortunate and needless death of a hero that was taken away from us all too soon. I'm speaking of course of the death of Harambe the Gorilla.

In May, a sad turn of events happened at the Cincinatti Zoo. A boy somehow got away from his parents and ended up inside the gorilla enclosure. What happened next is up for debate depending on who you ask. Some will say that Harambe, the hero gorilla, tried to rescue the boy. Others will say that the gorilla tried to attack the boy. Either way, the result was that zookeepers shot Harambe. Ending the life of one of nature's most majestic creatures.

Since that time, many different tributes have appeared in memory of Harambe. From people placing flowers at the gorilla's former home, it grew to changing street names. There was a Change.org petition. There even was a bizarre trending hashtag that was slightly NSFW.

Now, the ultimate Harambe tribute has finally arrived. The song 'Closer' by Chainsmokers and Halsey is debatably the biggest song of the summer. Now it also is the way for you to sing along and show your support for the gentle giant that we all still are mourning.

There are some slightly NSFW lyrics, but they seem justified when conveying the intense emotions of this whole situation.

The remix, by Las Angeles DJ Takka, is pretty impressive. Redoing the entire song to be about Harambe, there's even one verse from the gorilla's point of view. Here are the lyrics:

Hey..
He was doing just fine before that kid came
Seventeen just had a birthday doing okay
Hey...
Tell the zoo keepers it's been nice to meet them
But he might not ever see them again
How'd this kid get in?
Cincinnati Zoo needs some taller walls and...
Four-years from now, he'll be nothing more than a played out song
And I-i-i-i-i miss him
So-oh-oh-oh-oh fucking much

So pull that baby closer
In the back of the enclosure
That Harambe called his home
Shoot a bullet through his shoulder
Tranquilizer wouldn't work
On this 400-pound hero
So they broke out the big guns
Harambe's Never getting older
*Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack*
Harambe's never getting older x2

It started off as any other day
Ate some bananas, pounded on my chest
Suddenly a child fell into my enclosure
My first thought was to protect the child
After all, are apes and humans so different?
I had never heard screams like this
The child, must be in danger
I must bring him to safety
Warm, and safe in my arms.. *crack*

So pull that baby closer
In the back of the enclosure
That Harambe called his home
Shoot a bullet through his shoulder
Tranquilizer wouldn't work
On this 400-pound hero
So they broke out the big guns
Harambe's Never getting older
*Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack*
Harambe's never getting older x2

So pull that baby closer
In the back of the enclosure
That Harambe called his home
Shoot a bullet through his shoulder
Tranquilizer wouldn't work
On this 400-pound hero
So they broke out the big guns
Harambe's Never getting older x2
(No i'm never getting older)
No he's never getting older
(No i'm never getting older)
Harambe's never getting older
(No i'm never getting older)
No he's never getting older
(I ain't ever getting older)
Harambe's never getting older x2
