Our hearts are racing -- and not only because we just watched Channing Tatum jump out of a plane! During his episode of 'Running Wild with Bear Grylls' (airing Aug. 11), the actor backflipped from the aircraft into a body of water ... and then removed his pants.

Channing, who confessed that he'd never actually performed a backflip, was total game to try the maneuver as the helicopter hovered over the water.

"I would absolutely say this is more exciting than any movie I’d been on,” the '22 Jump Street' actor told the camera. “Everything in the movie world is so planned and generally rehearsed. This is not rehearsed. I don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Of course, when Channing made it to dry land, he warmed up his body temperature with a series of pushups. He also dried off by removing and wringing the water out of his pants. Even Bear poked fun at the 'Magic Mike' star, commenting, "You're good at stripping. This is your heritage!"

Watch the sneak peak on Channing of 'Running Wild with Bear Grylls' in the video above, and be sure to catch the full episode when it airs on Monday, Aug. 11 on NBC.
