Deadmau5 Bashes Madonna For Ecstasy Reference At Concert – UPDATE! [VIDEO]

This past Saturday, the “Material Middle-Aged Girl” made an appearance at the Ultra Music Festival, asking the crowd if anyone has seen “Molly”. That didn’t sit well with Deadmau5, who says Madonna was making a reference to the drug Ecstasy.
The name “Molly” is reportedly a slang term for “MDMA”, the chemical name for Ecstasy. Madonna’s new album is even titled “MDNA”, an abbreviation of her name which is also believed to be a play on “MDMA”. After the concert, Deadmau5 took to Facebook to express frustration with Madonna,
“Very classy there madonna. ‘HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???’ such a great message for the young music lovers at ultra.
“Quite the f’n philanthropist. but hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! f—— cant smack my head hard enough right now.”
Madonna has never been one to shy away from controversy, but if she were in fact making a reference to Ecstasy, did she go too far?
UPDATE: Madonna tweeted an old picture of herself wearing Mickey Mouse ears, saying,
“From one mouse to another I dont support drug use and i never have. I was referring to the song called “Have You Seen Molly” written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my album.”
