Doolittle and Texoma – Humane Society Pets of the Week!

My parents owned a poodle while I was growing up. She was definitely my mom’s dog, following her everywhere. When Mom would leave the house, the dog would sit at the window and cry, much like a toddler. She was zealously loyal to Mom and the best seat in the house was with her, unless she was being bribed with a treat. Not all pets have someone that they can follow everywhere, and that’s where you come in.

The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for a lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.

Doolittle

Doolittle is a small, brown, male Chihuahua mix. At just under three-years-old, he still has lots of energy to play but knows the value of chilling with his favorite people. He’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly, and loves taking walks. He’s neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Texoma

Texoma is a medium size, female, domestic longhair cat. She lived in a retirement facility since being a baby, but has lost her home and is looking for a new one. She’s a bit shy around new people but when she warms up to you, you’ve made a best friend for life. She’s spayed, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Texoma is looking for a second chance, which may just be you. Stop by to see if you’ll be her new favorite person!
