Polish up your Irish accent and find something green to wear for the St. Patrick's Day Downtown Street Festival this Saturday.

This family friendly event is organized by Downtown Wichita Falls Development and Pride In The Falls, and DWFD board member Ann Arnold (a.k.a. Ann O'Arnold for this weekend) came up to the studios to tell us a wee bit about this year's event.

Listen to Ann talk about the Wichita Falls St. Patrick's Day Festival below:

The festival of everything green promises LOTS of food with a distinctly Irish flavor, plenty of activities for the kids, live music and more.

The gates open at 4:30 with music starting about 5:30 from The Gourds, the Josh Weathers Band, the celtic Irish band Goitse (We're really curious as to how THEY pronounce their name!) and, of course, the Killdares because what's a St. Patrick's Day party without rockin' electric guitars and bagpipes!

Tickets are $12 in advance ($10 with Military or College ID) and $15 at the gate and children 12 & under get in free when accompanied by an adult. Advance tickets are available at United Supermarket, the Iron Horse Pub, Sheppard Air Force Base ITT office, the 8th Street Coffee House and the Downtown Wichita Falls Development office.

Visit Downtown Proud's website for more details.

And remember, EVERYBODY is Irish on St. Patrick's Day!
