Additional Information

The Amo Leer Family Literacy Project, a joint collaboration between The Wichita Falls Public Library and Zavala Hispanic Initiative, presents this Financial Aid Event to benefit all area high school seniors.

North Texas Area United Way will assist parents of high school seniors in filing their taxes, so that the FAFSA, Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and the TASFA, Texas Application for State Financial Aid, can be submitted. Representatives from Region 9 Education Center, the Public Library and Zavala, as well as Gonzalo Robles-Educational Consultant with Café con Leche, and Midwestern State University’s Bilingual Education students, will be on hand to assist.  Parents are asked to bring 2012 tax forms, if completed or W-2 forms, social security number, plus picture ID.  If students already have PIN numbers for the FAFSA, they are asked to bring those as well.

Seniors from all area high schools are welcome to attend. Refreshments and childcare will be provided.  If you have questions, please call Cruz Watkins at 235-1070, or Kathy Vossler at 767-0868 ext. 245.
