The public is invited to attend “The Jerry Busby Cancer Benefit” on Sunday, June 26th at the Waurika, Oklahoma Senior Citizens Center on Main St.….from 11 to 1:30. The meal price will by donation only.

“Friends of Jerry Busby” will have lunch of burgers and hot dogs for the public by the Waurika Volunteer Firemen plus home-made side-items.  There will be several auctions (live and silent) with 100% going for cancer treatment.

Jerry Busby was born 60 years ago in Wichita Falls, raised in Burkburnett and resided in Waurika for the past 30 years.  He was struck with cancer this spring and passed away last week.

Known as “The Pie Man”, Jerry and his family operated the Original Fried Pie Shops in Waurika and Wichita Falls…helping many groups raise money for lots of projects.
