UPDATE: Cajun Fest 2015 has moved indoors and will now be held at the J.S. Bridwell AG Center located at 111. N. Burnett Street.

MUSIC

Cajun Fest 2015 will feature three incredible Cajun bands. Headlining will be CJ Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band. Leading this Grammy-nominated band is CJ Chenier, “the best living zydeco singer and accordionist” according to Living Blues magazine.  Providing support will be Austin bands Dr. Zog, and Crooks. Dr. Zog is well-known for their crowd-rousing Zydeco sound, while Crooks have been making waves on the country music circuit.  Starting and ending the day will be local favorites The Black and White Band and Mike O’Neill. Emceeing the event is the ever-popular Louisiana native Matt Castille, whose performance on all Cajun instruments ranging from the squeezebox to the harmonica keeps the crowd captivated for hours.

KIDS

A children’s area will provide a host of activities from crafts to magicians to carnival rides.

CAJUN FOOD

There will be plenty of Cajun food to feast on, including boiled crawfish, Cajun fried catfish, crawfish etouffee, and jambalaya, and alligator on a stick. Food prices are between $2-$5, so you can eat a lot of food without breaking the bank. Food will be served throughout the event, or until it runs out – so come early!
