Sponsored by the Muenster Chamber of Commerce. Muenster is set to host its 41st annual Germanfest on April 22, 23 & 24, 2016.

With over 20,000 anticipated to attend, festivities promise the very best in German hospitality with German sausage, sauerkraut, schnitzel, potato salad, hearty cheeses, German pizza and scrumptious apple strudel. This quaint German community festival also offers a wide variety of American food.

The 10th Annual Barbecue Cook-off returns this year as a sanctioned event under the “Lone Star Barbecue Association.” The winner of this event will be qualified to participate in the world Food Competitions in Las Vegas and the KC Masterpiece BBQ competition in Kansas City – you can register for these on our website www.germanfest.net.
For those who love competitive sports there is the opportunity at Germanfest to try one or more of these events: Nagelschlagen-a traditional German competition, Saturday’s bicycle rally, April 23rd or Sunday’s 5K/15K Run, April 24th – you can register for these on our website www.germanfest.net.

There’s something for everyone at Germanfest! Those who prefer a weekend of relaxing fun, Muenster is still the place to be.
