If you have been watching the NFL the past month you will have noticed pink cleats, towels and armbands to bring awareness to breast cancer. A soccer team in South America decided to do this and the fans did not appreciate it.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness, Venezuelan Primera Division side Deportivo Tachira decided to swap its usual black and yellow stripes for a bright pink strip for its match against Atletico Venezuela.

Fans, however, were incensed by their club's attempts to try and make them aware of breast cancer, and duly staged a pitch invasion which led to the postponement of the match.

The protest took place on the field for 40 minutes. When fans refused to leave the field the soccer club had no choice, but to postpone the game.

Club officials have blamed a "tiny number of fans" who were "defending the colors of the shirt they love." The FVF is now investigating the incident, and the club has promised to refund the tickets of those who supported the cause and could not enjoy the game.

Trust me I do love bringing awareness to breast cancer. I do not know how I would react if the Cowboys took the field in pink jerseys. I do know I would not start a riot over it though.
