Time to get medieval up in Texas.

For far too long, knights were forced to keep their hardware in their house here in Texas. As of September 1, 2017, you will be free to carry a blade longer than 5.5 inches with you in Texas. The previous law only allowed you to carry something shorter than the 5.5 inches. Certain rules do not allow for blades at churches, bars and schools.

Time to get on down to the mall and go hit up the Knife Guys. Can't wait to walk down the street like I am Leonardo in the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'. State Rep. John Frullo, R-Lubbock, introduced the bill during the last legislative session, arguing the current rules are outdated and confusing. Plan on open carrying a sword in September? Let us know in the comments.
