Police in Decatur, Texas have arrested a Walmart employee in what might be the biggest single ‘inside job’ the retail giant has ever seen. WFAA in Dallas reports that long time Walmart employee Nacina Walker, 50, was arrested and charged with theft over $200,000.

Police say that for more than a year, between 2013 and 2014, Walker would create fake returns to the store and pocket the cash.  The scheme cost the company about $240,000 between January 2013 and October 2014. The company eventually caught on to Walkers scheme, investigated and Walker admitted to the thefts and was terminated.  Walmart then handed the case off to Decatur police detectives.

Walker was arrested on April 14 and faces a first degree felony charge of theft. If convicted she faces anywhere from five to 99 years in prison. Store management declined to comment to WFAA TV, but employees told them that Walker had worked at the Decatur store since she was in high school. Police confirmed she had been employed there since 1982.

Walker currently works for a friend of her family. She was released from the Wise County Jail after posting a $30,000 bond.  WFAA was able to locate her, but she declined to comment.
