Hef’s Fiance Planned To Ditch Him At The Altar For $500,000

I never thought I'd really ever feel bad for Hugh Hefner.  That 85-year-old man is living the American Male dream.  When I heard his wedding was canceled with just days to go, I didn't feel bad for him.  The guy probably has five or six other women just waiting to be his widow.  But if the rumors about why they broke up are true... wow.  I feel really bad for this guy.

Page Six of The NY Times has learned from a source that 25-year-old  Crystal Harris (that's right... 60 year age difference) had been planning on dumping Hef at the altar, in front of 300 guests, and while their vows were filmed for a Lifetime Television special.  Harris had reportedly been shopping around for a half-million tell-all interview deal.  The source said,

"Crystal wanted to ditch Hef at the altar. Her plan was to walk up the aisle and say she couldn't go through with it. The wedding was to be filmed for a reality special, and her refusal to marry him would be a sensation. She was looking for a tie-in deal of around $500,000 for the exclusive 'I ditched Hef at the altar' interview. While there was interest, Crystal didn't get an offer anywhere near half a million."

Not only that, there are rumors that Harris had been cheating of Hefner for the past several months with Dr. Phil's son Jordan, her songwriting partner.  Of the affair rumors, Harris' manager has denied the allegations.  As for the speculation of her planning to publicly embarrass Hef, Harris' manager said that wasn't true to the best of his knowledge and said their breakup was amicable.

This break up really seems to be a publicity stunt perfectly planned out by Crystal Harris.  The announcement of her break up to Hef was the same day of the release of the first single from her upcoming album as well as her very own video on FunnyorDie.com.  Harris is also featured on the cover of the new issue of Playboy, due on newstands this week, with the title "America's Princess: Introducing Mrs. Crystal Hefner."
