Justin Bieber’s Fans Seem Terribly Upset About His Birthday + The Aging Process in General
Today is the anniversary of Justin Bieber’s birth. The 18-year-old will be matures to the ripe old age of 19 on March 1, ushering in another year of life after finishing up a concert in England.
None of this seems tragic (except maybe the part in which we actually know when Justin Bieber’s birthday is), so why are his fans so distraught?
Earlier, the new king of bizarre outfits tweeted that he’d be chilling before his last show as an 18-year-old.
gonna chill and get ready for this show. last show as an 18 year old.

This seems like a fairly innocuous thing to tweet about. He has a show. He has a birthday. His fans all know this. It’s not a surprise. Until you read the replies and see how sad they all are that their boy wonder is another year older.

We don’t get it. Why all the angst? Did they think he was Benjamin Button and would get younger?
To be honest, it’s a relief to us that he’s coming closer to actual adulthood because listening to a teenager singing about how girls love sucking his lolly is borderline pervy for those of us on the other side of 20.
For all you Beliebers in emotional crisis over the fact that your dream guy actually gets to have another birthday, just wait until he’s turning 40 and you feel like it was just yesterday that you could fit in skinny jeans. Then you’ll really have something to cry about. Trust us.
For now, be kind, wish him a happy birthday and let him enjoy his youth. Which he still has plenty of.
