Katy Perry has scored her sixth No. 1 song on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart with ‘The One That Got Away,’ breaking the record for the most No. 1 singles from one album.

The Pop Songs chart record was previously held by Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga, who each have claimed four No. 1 singles on the chart from their respective first albums, ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ and ‘The Fame.’

The achievement is not to be confused with surpassing Michael Jackson, with whom Perry is tied for most No. 1 singles from one album on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Currently the two pop stars are tied at five each from the King of Pop’s ‘Bad’ album and Perry’s unstoppable ‘Teenage Dream’ release.

An official remix of ‘The One That Got Away’ featuring B.o.B was released in December, while an acoustic version of the song was unveiled on Jan. 18. Both versions have helped push the tune to the top of the pop charts, and Perry’s label, Capitol Records, is hoping for the same results on the Hot 100.

For now, Capitol couldn’t be more proud of its star. “[It's] tremendous recognition for one of the most talented artists in the world,” the label’s executive vice president, Greg Thompson, said. “We couldn’t be happier for Katy.”
