Clothing retailer Old Navy is known for its kitschy commercials featuring ’80s and ’90s icons such as Morgan Fairchild and Joan Collins.

But in its latest campaign, “Super C-U-T-E,” the company bypassed an actual star and went with an apparent lookalike of reality show phenom Kim Kardashian — and she is not amused.

Kardashian has filed a $20 million lawsuit against Old Navy for using what’s been dubbed by some as a “Fauxdashian,” claiming it has confused fans and made them think she herself was endorsing the brand.

“Kim Kardashian is immediately recognizable, and is known for her look and style. Her identity and persona are valuable. When her intellectual property rights are violated, she intends to enforce them,” her attorney Gary Hecker said in a statement.

In a truly bizarre twist, model Melissa Molinaro, who stars as the “Fauxdashian” in the Old Navy ads, is reportedly dating Kim’s ex-boyfriend, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush. One would hope at least he could tell the difference between the two.
