With Lorde's fast rise to stardom, thanks to her well-received debut album 'Pure Heroine,' it's not surprising that people in the music industry already have their ears to the ground regarding the artist's future works.

Speaking with the BBC, Lorde confesses that her next album will sound "totally different" from what we've heard from her already. "I'm working on stuff quite tentatively, it's definitely still at the beginning and yeah, it's totally different," she tells the site.

And even though 'Pure Heroine' was critically acclaimed, she believes her second album will be even better. "I think I've learnt so much as a songwriter, there's going to be so much of an improvement because of that."

"I wrote the last album about that world which was the suburb where I grew up and populated by my friends and people who were really familiar to me," she continues. "Now I'm in a different place every day and I'm with new people every day and it's a different vibe."

We can't wait to hear what Lorde has in store!
