It's 'Back To The Future' day. In honor of the holiday, I thought I'd point out the subtle 'Back To The Future' reference that I throw into every show I ever do. For many years now, I've had one consistent thing that I've ended every radio show with. I always say, "I'm going to make like a tree and get outta here."

At least once a month, I get an e-mail from someone telling me that I'm saying the saying wrong. People come up to me when we are out broadcasting live and point it out. Occasionally, I'll just have someone say "make like a tree" and give me a high five. In case you ever wondered why that's the saying, here's your answer: Back To The Future!

So there you go. Mystery solved. It's from something Biff says in 'Back To The Future.' It's a running joke in all the movies that Biff gets his sayings a little messed up. This one just really fit for saying goodbye at the end of a show. 'Back To The Future' is my favorite movie of all time (I consider all three as one movie) and I wanted to include a little of it in every show.

The best part of it is that if someone hears it and understands, it means they are as big of a BTTF nerd as me and if they don't get it, then when they ask I get to tell them to watch the movie. So if you already got it, good for you. If you didn't understand, go watch the movies!

Happy Back to The Future Day!  I'm going to make like a tree and get outta here.
