Man Fakes Death for the Most Disturbing Marriage Proposal Ever

I know nowadays everyone is trying to one up each other on the coolest marriage proposal. This man in Russia took it to a whole new level that I would never have the guts to even attempt.

According to 30-year-old Alexey Bykov, this was a test to see how much his girlfriend really cared about him. So what he decided to do was fake his own death. He even hired a stuntman, make-up artists, movie director, and a script writer to stage a car crash. He made sure his girlfriend, Irena Kolokov, was there so she would be convinced he was dead.

She was supposed to meet him for lunch and he knew that she would go down this one road. When his girlfriend saw the "car wreck" she got out of her car and started hysterically crying (like any caring girlfriend would). She saw her boyfriend covered in blood from head to toe. When Alexey heard this reaction he stood up and proposed to his girlfriend. To me what is so amazing is that she said, yes.

“I wanted her to realize how empty her life would be without me and how life would have no meaning without me”, Bykov explained. “I think it worked – but I promise it’s the last time.”

I know if I pulled this kind of stunt I don't feel my girlfriend would have as much sympathy. I think I would not have to fake my own death, she would probably just kill me.
