On Friday afternoon, 25 year old David Villalobos was riding the monorail at the Bronx Zoo in New York. David decided to jump out of the monorail, over a 16-foot fence, and into a 400-pound male Siberian tiger's pen.

He says he did it because he, "wanted to be one with the tiger." The tiger did not want to be one with him though, and promptly started mauling him.  Zoo officials quickly mobilized and sprayed a fire extinguisher at the tiger to get him off David.  Then they dragged David out of the pen.

He suffered bites, scratches, and punctures on his arms, legs, shoulders, and back.  He also had a broken arm and leg from the fall.  He's in the hospital in stable condition and will be charged with trespassing.

Fortunately, the tiger is not getting any blame for this and will not be put down because of this idiot.  The zoo says they're reviewing their safety procedures. I hate how some people's first reaction to this is to put the tiger down. Katt Williams said it best, "Don't be mad at a tiger for acting like a tiger."
