Miley Cyrus is heading into the Galaxy... but she's staying within the Disney universe!

The pop star has a surprise role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Disney confirms to Entertainment Tonight.

Cyrus provides the voice for a technological program called Mainframe, an alternate version of Vision from The Avengers who, in the comics, acts as the evolved operating system for an entire planet.

Rumors of Cyrus' out-of-this-world role first broke out on Thursday during a press conference for the film.

Speaking to The Huffington Post earlier this week, retired WWE wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista, who plays Drax in the films, teased the singer's role prior to Disney's official announcement, saying, "I heard that she’s uncredited and a voice somewhere."
