Last November, current Miss USA Rima Fakih guest hosted WWE's "Monday Night Raw".  A lifelong wrestling fan, Fakih was obviously excited to be part of the program.  And now she has a chance to appear on Monday Night Raw again, but this time as an in-ring performer.

Rima Fakih has signed on to be a contestant on the revival of WWE's reality show competition "Tough Enough" premiering in April on the USA Network.  In a press release, Fakih said,

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to battle for a title in an entirely different competition.  Miss USA is an incredible honor that's provided invaluable experience which will undoubtedly help me as I push my performance and athletic skills to the limit. I look forward to learning if I have the mettle to make it in WWE."

"Tough Enough" originated on MTV and ran for three seasons from 2001 to 2004, with a 4th season occurring off-air, but shown in segments on "Smackdown" on UPN.  In previous seasons, 13 contestants, some with previous wrestling experience and some without, live together in a house and train with experienced wrestlers.  Each episode one contestant is eliminated by ruling of the trainers.  The audience would get to choose to eliminate one contestant during the final five, with the trainers determining the two winners of the seasons.  The winners would receive a one-year developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, usually allowing the winners to briefly appear on major programming, then being sent to a "minor league" territory to continue training.  No word yet if this new season with follow the same format.

Of previous winners, only one is still with the company.  However, several runners-up were later given developmental contracts and are still with the company, one of which being current WWE Champion Mike "The Miz" Mizinan.

In the Miss USA pageant, Rima Fakih showed she had brains and beauty.  It will be interesting to see if she has the physicality to go along with it.  The new season of "Tough Enough" will premiere on the USA Network the day after "Wrestlemania 27", Monday April 4th after "Monday Night Raw".
