Morgan Freeman has been accused of sexual harassment, unwanted touching and inappropriate behavior by multiple people.

As part of a six month CNN investigation, sixteen people came forward claiming they were "subjected to unwanted touching" and other forms of harassment by the veteran film star.

One anonymous victim, a production assistant who worked on Freeman's film Going in Style during the summer of 2015, claims that the 80-year-old actor "subjected her to unwanted touching and comments about her figure and clothing on a near-daily basis," including attempting to lift her skirt and asking her if she was wearing underwear.

At one point during the harassment, she says Freeman's co-star, Alan Arkin, "made a comment telling him to stop. Morgan got freaked out and didn't know what to say."

Another woman who worked as a senior member of the production staff for Now You See Me in 2012 said that the actor constantly harassed her and her female assistant by commenting on their bodies and clothing.

Of the sixteen sources who spoke to CNN, eight said they were victims of harassment, while others called Morgan's behavior "inappropriate."

Morgan's alleged harassment and inappropriate behavior also reportedly resulted in a toxic environment at Revelations Entertainment, Freeman's production company. Seven women interviewed "described an environment at Revelations Entertainment that included allegations of harassment or inappropriate behavior by Freeman there, with one incident allegedly witnessed by Lori McCreary, Freeman's co-founder in the enterprise."

Three entertainment reporters corroborated a pattern of harassment while speaking to CNN, claiming that the actor had made "inappropriate remarks" to them during press junkets.

Speaking to Variety following the publication of CNN's story, Freeman apologized in a statement.

"Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy," the actor said. "I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent."
