Actor and stand-up comic T.J. Miller, star of new movie Office Christmas Party and HBO's Silicon Valley, was arrested early Friday morning (December 9) for a fight with an Uber driver, according to TMZ.

Miller attended the GQ Men of the Year Party at L.A.'s Chateau Marmont on the evening of December 8 (he was photographed hitting another soiree that same night, the Vulture Awards Season Party, with his wife Kate Gorney). Law enforcement sources told TMZ that an as-yet-unnamed Uber driver picked Miller up at the GQ event to drive him home — and en route, they allegedly got into an argument about president-elect Donald Trump.

The driver claims that Miller got heated enough to slap him in the head when they arrived at the Deadpool actor's house, and that's when the driver decided to make a "citizen's arrest." When police arrived to make an actual arrest, they told TMZ the driver had no visible injuries.

T.J. was reportedly released without bail. His movie Office Christmas Party, centered around drunken holiday-time revelry, opens today.
