The University of Oregon posted this video today where they went around campus and asks students what exactly a buckeye is. Most students know they want to beat them on Monday, but past that, they were clueless. By the way, according to google, a buckeye is a North American tree or shrub related to the horse chestnut, with showy yellow, red, or white flowers.
