Reese Witherspoon Opens Up About Her Arrest [VIDEO]

You might remember a nasty little incident a couple of weeks ago regarding Reese Witherspoon’s husband getting arrested for DUI and her being taken away for disorderly conduct. Now she’s opened up to Good Morning America and letting us in on what happened that night.

Witherspoon seems genuine in her responses to George Stephanopoulos, stating that they used poor judgment that night and that they’re embarrassed by the entire thing. Understandable, especially considering the bad press she got after the arrest.

Stephanopoulos asked why she asked the question “Do you know who I am?” to which Witherspoon replied:

I have no idea what I was saying that night. When I saw him arresting my husband, I literally panicked, and I said all kinds of crazy things. I told him I was pregnant! I’m not pregnant. I said crazy things. If you hear me laughing, it’s only because I have no idea what I was talking about. I am so sorry, and I was so disrespectful to him, and I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better. And it’s just unacceptable.

Though this whole mess is indeed a bump in the road, I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of Reese Witherspoon. She’s a talented actress, loved by Hollywood and her fans, and she puts out movies that are a lot of fun to watch. We should know who she is, and we should continue to know who she is.
