Looking for a place to go remember the glory days of the arcade and have a cold beer?

For the inner nerd in all of us, The Deep End is the place. They do have a small cover to get in (varies depending on the night), but you know what? It's worth it because their arcade games are set to free play everyday.

You can play classic games like 'Ms. Pac Man,' 'Galaga' and 'Centipede.' Plus those 90's classics I grew up on, like 'The Simpsons,' 'TMNT' and 'Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.'

As a kid, I always used to say, "Only real arcades have 'The Simpsons' cabinet." Well, The Deep End is officially a real arcade according to my six-year-old criteria. Plus, as an adult, I can drink at this arcade.

They have a daily happy hour of Pabst Blue Ribbon on draft for a dollar until nine. Other beers are available for purchase as well. Plus, you can bring your own liquor to The Deep End.

It's also more than just your standard arcade bar.

Mondays are 'Millenial Mondays' where they feature young artists who want to showcase their art, music and poetry. On Tuesdays, when possible, it's "Tour Package Tuesday" where they snag touring bands coming through Wichita Falls.

If you want to bring your kids to experience the classic arcades, Wednesday through Friday are game nights. From 6-9 kids are allowed in, but parents must be present for the kids to be there. No dropping them off for the night. Come on, you know you would want to stick around and play some TMNT with the kiddo.

Saturdays is when live music goes down at The Deep End. The first Thursday of the month they host an open mic session and the last Thursday of the month they have stand up comedy.

Honestly, sounds like a place that has a little bit of everything for everybody. You can find The Deep End at 5117 Old Jacksboro Highway just past the Walmart on Southwest Parkway.

Now I need to go see if I remember those Stryker fatalities for Mortal Kombat 3, see if I still got it.
