Romeo and Basil – Humane Society Pets of the Week!
This morning I walked into the kitchen and was greeted by a cat who was having an all-on freakout. It’s not uncommon for her to have a morning freakout, but this morning in particular she was pretty fiesty. As I walked by, she lunged at my feet before dashing away, and as I poured a drink she jumped onto the counter, tried to run across it, landed on a sheet of paper, and just about flew off the other side of the counter. She later moved her antics down the hall so that as I passed through she counld attack me from the shadows. We’ve become used to our cats behaving like this from time to time, and it’s a normal part of cat behavior. Some pets, however, don’t have a guardian who understands them and laughs it off when they act silly. That’s where you come in.
The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for an lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.
May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.
