Sandy and Cassie – Humane Society Pets of the Week!
My cats are used to a certain schedule. For example, when I go to sleep at night, one of my cats joins me in bed, lays on me, kneads the blanket, and purrs. After a few minutes she’ll shift to a spot where she’ll actually sleep, but the night doesn’t seem complete until she “tells me” goodnight. Routines are good for pets, but not every pet has a home and a routine to follow. That’s where you come in.
The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for a lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.
May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.
Sandy is a large, short-hair, male cat. He’s just under two-years-old, which means he’s at the perfect age to know how to behave but still loves to play a lot. He loves being around people and warms up quickly to newcomers, and also enjoys a warm lap to hang out in. He’s neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Sandy can’t wait to find a new home to call his own, so stop by to see if he’s a good fit for you and your family!
Cassie is a small, young, female Chihuahua/Terrier mix. She’s just over a year old, loves taking walks, playing fetch, lounging on the porch, and meeting new people. She’s a little shy at first but it doesn’t take long for her to get used to new people, and she does well around other pets. She’s spayed, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Cassie can’t wait to have a regular routine of her own and is looking to find her forever home. Swing by to see if she’s your new BFF!
