Sarah Jessica Parker and her 'Sex and the City' character Carrie Bradshaw are essentially responsible for turning Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin into household names. And while Carrie and Big have sailed off into the Manhattan sunset, her love of heels lives on.

So it was only a matter of time before the fashionista who played her would launch her own line of higher-end footwear and other accessories -- and that's just what's she's doing, as her SJP collection is scheduled to land exclusively at Nordstrom in early 2014.

Parker, who actually partnered with now-defunct discount chain Steve & Barry's in 2007 for her first fashion brand Bitten, which featured cheap and chic activewear, realizes that her stiletto-obsessed alter-ego is the reason people want her to design footwear -- hammertoes, bunyons and sore heels be damned!

"In a silly way, I think it's what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw," the actress told Vogue. And her partner in the venture is another no-brainer: George Malkemus, the longtime Blahnik CEO.

The range will include bags and trenches, as well. The price points are between $200 and $300 for flats and pumps, with the bags selling for under $700, so this range is a far cry from those $40 Steve & Barry price tags.

And don't expect plain old black and brown. "We're putting new colors together that people don't typically do," Parker said, "just beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet."

"It's sort of soup to nuts," she said, adding, "You put on a shoe and you put on a coat and you wear a bag and, on the outside, when you're walking down the street, they really can tell the same story about yourself."
