Standoff in North Wichita Falls Ends Peacefully

A standoff with Wichita Falls Police and SWAT on the cities north side ended peacefully on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to a home on Harlan Lane, off Old Iowa Park Road, at around 1:20 pm. A man had reportedly barricaded himself in his home and police say they believed he had access to multiple weapons.

Facebook postings by neighbors indicated a massive police presence. One Facebook user stated the man had twice stepped outside with a gun, naked and threatening suicide. Police were eventually able to talk the man out and take him into custody. His identity has not been released.
