If you’ve ever watched the classic 1989 film ‘Steel Magnolias’ and thought to yourself, “You know, I wish a cable channel would remake this with an all African-American cast,” your wish has apparently been granted.

Lifetime has just put the finishing touches on the line-up for its upcoming reboot, with Queen Latifah starring in and executive producing the project. The movie further expands her relationship with Sony TV, with whom she’s already working on a syndicated talk show.

While many of the original movie’s devout fans will see a remake as nothing short of heresy, Nancy Dubuc, Lifetime’s president and general manager, said in a statement, “We could not be more thrilled and honored for [our stars] to bring Robert Harling’s poignant story about the strength of women to a whole new generation.”

Here’s the cast list, along with a reminder of who played each role in the first movie:

Queen Latifah as M’Lynn (Sally Field)
Phylicia Rashad as Clairee (Olympia Dukakis)
Alfre Woodard as Ouiser (Shirley MacLaine)
Jill Scott as Truvy (Dolly Parton)
Condola Rashad, Phylicia’s daughter, as Shelby (Julia Roberts)
Adepero Oduye as Annelle (Daryl Hannah)
