March 28, 2012 It's almost a running joke here in Wichita Falls. No Chick-Fil-A. It's the one dining establishment that is mentioned again and again as sorely missing in the Falls. Why isn't there one here? I mean Lawton has one, and it's a smaller town! To add insult to injury, they also have an Outback Steakhouse. What is wrong with the Falls? Wichita Falls still has no Chick-Fil-A. In fact, 929 NIN has conducted several unscientific surveys over the last couple of months about what retailers are "most wanted" in Wichita Falls... The number one answer: Chick-Fil-A. So what gives?
In June of last year, the Times-Record news ran an article, stating that the restaurant chain was "anticipating building in Wichita Falls."
