The 2013 MTV Movie Awards winners, though by no means as hyped as, say, the 2013 Oscars, are a fun affair nonetheless. Most of the awards, with exceptions to the "specialty" categories, are voted on by the fans, which means many of the titles that got snubbed during awards season now have another chance for the recognition many believe they deserve.

Recently, the Village Voice got its hands on the 30-page contract required of the people appearing on MTV‘s long-running ‘Real World’ series and, as expected, it’s positively draconian. The extreme stipulations are probably no different than those of other reality shows, but it does make you wonder who’d be crazy enough to sign it.

MTV has caused a huge stir with their new series, "Skins". Based on the British show of the same name, "Skins" is about a group of alcohol-drinking, drug-taking, sexually-active teenagers.

Unlike most TV shows and movies, this series is cast with actors playing characters their own age. Some executives in MTV have been concerned that MTV might be in violation of child pornography laws by airing scenes of sexual behavior with underage actors.
