After three months on the shelf, bordering on cancellation, "Community" has been confirmed to return to its Thursday time slot on March 15th. Showrunner Dan Harmon tweeted,
"What you call 8:00, we call home. Co
NBC has revealed its mid-season lineup with "Community" nowhere to be seen. This seems to be a surprise move to many viewers, but when looking at the ratings, "Community" has been in trouble for a while
Just a few weeks into the new season, NBC has canceled two shows that actually started off well. First, "The Playboy Club" started off strong with a good deal of hype, but quickly slipped in the ratings leading NBC to cut it a few days ago
Justin Timberlake teamed up with Andy Samberg on this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" season finale for another riotous Digital Short. The duo reprised their much-loved Color Me Badd satire, following up 2008's "D**k in a Box" and 2009's "Motherlover" with a slow jam called "3-Way (The Golden Rule)." In the video, Timberlake and Samberg, while preparing for dates, realize they're courting the same lady: Lady Gaga, in fact, who was the night's musical guest. Gaga, Samberg and Timberlake give the ménage à trois a go with hilarious results. Check out the slightly NSFW clip below:
Is NBC's long running morning news program 'Today' about to get a major facelift?
Over the past couple of days, news has circulated that hosts Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira plan to leave the show when their contracts expire. Lauer in particular was at the center of Internet rumors today after reports claimed he had informed NBC executives of his departure, which would be in Dec. 2012.
However, NBC has since denied the reports, saying, "There seems to be an awful lot of speculation around news anchors these days, and it's not our practice to comment on any of it. Matt Lauer has a long-term contract with NBC News and TODAY."
Elton John put on a show as host of ‘Saturday Night Live’ this weekend, marking only his second appearance on the long running sketch comedy show.
In his opening monologue, John proclaimed “the bitch is back” before launching into a series of jokes about his new baby boy, whom John said was born with “ten fingers, ten toes, and $400 million dollars.” John also joked about Lady Gaga being his son’s (named Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John) godmother.
As for the actual sketches, many seemed to rely on jokes about John’s British roots, his flamboyant stage persona and his sexuality, including one sketch titled ‘The Old West,’ in which John played, well, a flamboyant cowboy. (Really, can you blame the writers? We’re still trying to figure out why John hosted in the first place.)
