The weather was crazy this past weekend. Well the wind was blowing in Denton, Texas this weekend and it affected the scoreboard a little bit.
The definition of “cool” is rather subjective — for some people, they just know it when they see it. But using its own criteria, Forbes combed through dozens of metropolitan areas to come up with its list of America’s coolest cities.
And the results might surprise you.
I don't get too touchy feeling most of the time, but this story out of east Texas is awesome and really put a smile on my face. In February, Randy Cox of Gladewater, Texas (About 110 miles East of Dallas) was diagnosed with cancer and began chemotherapy. As anybody that has had a serious medical situation knows, insurance helps, but it definitely doesn't cover everything and Randy was stuck with HUGE medical bills.
The Dallas/Fort Worth region in Texas has been besieged by tornadoes Tuesday, leaving most counties in the northern part of the state under a tornado watch.
Some laws are in place to protect us, some to govern certain behaviors and some are well, just plain dumb. The good ole’ boys (and girls) of Texas have managed to sneak a few stupid laws into the books over the years, and it’s a good thing too because without these laws all hell just might break loose!
