Taylor Swift broke a long history of being politically silent earlier this month, when she urged fans to vote in the midterm elections, and gave her personal endorsements for her home state of Tennessee.

Swift is clearly committed to the cause, as she posted yet another social media call to action Tuesday (Oct. 30) showing both herself and her mother, Andrea, waving American flags and having apparently cast early votes in support of Senate candidate Phil Bredesen — the Democrat she'd endorsed in her original groundbreaking post.

"These two Tennessee women voted for the candidate who has proven himself to be reasonable and trustworthy," Swift notes. "We want leadership, not fear-based extremism. Early voting goes til Thursday and Election Day is November 6. Please don’t sit this one out."

This isn't the first time Swift has recommended early voting. On Oct. 17, she posted a shot of her feet adorned with red, white and blue toenail polish, and explained to her fans that voting early makes the process quicker and easier, and that she wished she'd known about that option back when she was a first-time voter. (Another Tennessee musician, Maren Morris, posted a similar sentiment a week ago, noting that she and husband Ryan Hurd took "less than 5 minutes" to cast their early votes.)

The response to Swift's initial endorsement unsurprisingly resulted in a great deal of chatter, with Democrats and Republicans alike discussing her decison. Even President Trump weighed in, both questioning Swift's knowledge of Bredesen's platform and stating, "Let's say that I like Taylor's music about 25 percent less now, OK?"
