This woman wasn't messing around and she was able to find the man that ruined her childhood.

For legal reasons, the woman's name was not given. She was reportedly abused when she was only eight years old. Fifteen years later, she became a police officer. She was able to track down the man that did these terrible crimes to her. Erlis Joseph Chaisson abused this girl over a period of four years.

She realized she had the power to see her attacker sent to prison soon after qualifying as a police officer. “I thought to myself: I’m the difference between him and prison,” she said. She reported the crimes to the McLennan County Sheriff's Office. The woman contacted Chaisson for a meetup, while she had a tape recorder in her bra.

He confessed to the crimes six times, pretty easily in fact. She said Chaisson was acting like he was running into an old friend. Chaisson's tape was played in court and at some points he blamed the girl for the abuse. “I’d be laying on the couch and then you’d get that look in your eyes," Chaisson told her. He would also go onto say, "I kept you a virgin, didn't I?"

According to the woman, Chaisson would rub his penis between her legs, perform oral sex on her, and guide her hand up and down his penis when she was a child. She said during the trial: “My job is law enforcement. I’m held to a higher standard. I just want to protect people, and how can I do that if I can’t even protect myself?”

Erlis Joseph Chaisson, 47, was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child by contact in Texas. He has been given a life sentence and two separate seven-year sentences for the indecency convictions, to be served consecutively. He will not be eligible for parole for 42 years.
