It’s easy to spoil a pet. My cat has been on a special diet for the past couple of weeks and it involves giving her moist cat food at least twice a day. Because we’re trying to put weight on her, she’s getting that food three or four times a day or basically whenever she asks for it. That’s where the word “spoiled” comes in. She has us trained to cater to her at her convenience. I understand I’m a puppet, and I’m okay with that. Some pets don’t have a person to spoil them, and that’s where you come in.

The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for a lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.

May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.

Texoma

Texoma is a medium size, female, long hair domestic house cat. She and her buddy Athena were living in a retirement facility since a very young age, but they’ve recently lost their home and are looking for a new one. Texoma is a bit shy but when she warms up she’s an awesome companion. She enjoys hanging out on your lap, scratches behind the ears, and naps in a sunny spot. She’s spayed, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Texoma is ready to find her forever home and would love to meet you to see if you’re the perfect fit!

Rags

Rags is a small, male Terrier mix. He’s around one-year-old so he still has that puppy energy, but he also understands when to calm down a bit. He loves taking walks, playing fetch, hanging out with people, and gets along well with other pets. He’s neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Rags is excited to meet his new family and would love to see if you’re the one he’s going home with. Stop by to introduce yourself!
