A 30 year-old Texoma woman convicted of intoxication manslaughter has been found in North Dakota.  Elizabeth Duerson went missing on May 13.  Duerson was free on an appeal bond.  That bond was revoked after Duerson missed several court ordered sobriety tests and a missing persons report was filed.

Duerson was found in Williston, North Dakota at a local hotel.  An unknown individual reported a suspicious person at the hotel.  When Willston Police arrived at the hotel, Duerson gave them a fake name, but a records check quickly revealed her to be a missing person and fugitive from justice here in Wichita County.

Duerson was convicted in December 2012 in the death of her brother, Brenton Crow.  Crow was a passenger in Duerson’s car in the early morning hours of January 21, 2010.  Duerson, whose blood alcohol level was reported to be .19 hours after the crash, struck a light pole and a tree in the median in the 2100 block of Kemp Boulevard.

The crash was so violent that is split Duerson’s car in half and scattered debris for more than two city blocks.  Police testimony from Duerson’s trial indicated she was traveling up to 90 miles per hour at the time of the crash.

Duerson is being held in North Dakota pending extradition back to Texas.  She faces three years in prison on the original conviction.
